What do the results mean?

The CET results are in and students can finally see how they did. But what do the results actually mean? Let’s break it down.

There are three main things that students should look at when they receive theirresults: their score, their percentile, and their composite score.

1. Score

The score is the most important part of the results. It tells students where they placed in the exam overall. The higher the score, the better the student did on the exam.

2. Percentile

The percentile tells students how they placed compared to other students who took the exam. For example, if a student got a percentile of 80%, that means they did better than 80% of other students who took the exam.

3. Composite Score

The composite score is a combination of the student’s score and percentile. It gives students an idea of how well they did compared to other students and how those results will be used for admissions purposes.

What are the next steps?

The next steps after the HSSC CET results are released are to check your score, analyze your performance, and decide which colleges you want to apply to. Check the cutoff list of each college and see if you meet the requirements. If you do, start the application process by filling out the forms and submitting all the necessary documents.

After submitting these documents, candidates can check their eligibility by clicking the respective link at the end of this article. Once the results come out, candidates will be notified as soon as possible. There are certain restrictions in place as per which candidates have to meet to appear for their exams. One such restriction is that only candidates from government colleges and institutes and those eligible for admissions would be allowed for taking HSC. Those who do not meet the eligibility criteria would have to reappear for the same with the new date set by the authorities. Hence, it is advisable for aspirants to remain patient while waiting to receive their admit cards for next year’s exam. In case the candidate is unable to get the admit cards within the stipulated time, they can visit any nearest center and sit for their class. However, the last date for submission of fee would be November 31 of every year. The fee ranges between Rs 1000 to Rs 30,000 depending upon the course students undertake.

However, after the verification of credentials, the HSC board will release the result. Students of Classes 10 and 12 will be able to check their results during the week of August 1, whereas the college authorities will declare the marksheet for CBSE classes X to XII based on the data uploaded by students in HSC for current academic year. i. Students are advised to keep practice notes regarding previous years’ papers and notes on topics they are struggling for, such as Math, Language and Science for better performance or improving comprehension.

Apart from the entrance tests, students also undergo several assessments throughout the entire semester for gaining sufficient experience before starting college applications. Such exams include Practicing Exams, Mock Tests, Term 2 Exam (Mains), Term 3 Exam (Mathematics Section), Term 4 Exam and Term 5 Exam. The latter two exams are crucial as apart from passing them, each student can gain some good placement in competitive exams like JEE Main or NEET. For instance, a medical major, whose best scores in term 1 can give him a 100% pass percentage in term 1 and 95% in term 2 of jee main. This means that he will qualify for jee main medical exam and get admitted to MCC or NITI Aayog. If you want to pursue BTech in engineering, you should take a course where your interest lies in a particular field. Moreover, for getting good grades in future examinations like IIT JEE or AIIMSAT, a strong study program and proper revision plans are needed. Finally, the final exam of undergraduate studies remains the National Eligibility cum Entrance Rank test (NETER). This is a nationalised exam that focuses on personality development skills and basic knowledge of general studies. It has two sections, namely English and General (General Studies & Hindi). Candidates have to score a maximum of 50 percentile points to clear NETER exam. They can score 85 percentile points or above to crack this exam.
